The Taylor, White and Gatlin Families are grand in number and our hearts are just as large. It's a beautiful time when we come together. I knew Cousin Johnnie from the family reunions in Houston but I actually met him at HEB in Beaumont...family connection at site. Time lapsed and he passed before I met his family. But God...at orientation and introduction to the football coach, Ed Taylor, I said, 'I think you are my cousin.' The connection was made and the love-bond is spreading...Thank God for family!!!

To my students, I love you all and May GDP be with you all during the loss of your father. He raised some beautiful children to be respectful and value education. He did an outstanding job. Continue to make him proud.

Dear Family and Friends - Weeping might endues for a night but Joy cometh in the Morning. Deacon Taylor was a Gentle Giant because he lived a good life, fought a good fight and never wavered in his faith. We are celebrating with you a life well lived. Mr. Taylor was a hard working man who loved his family. I have known Mr. Taylor all of my life as we lived down the street on St. James Blvd and my grandmother lived across the street from he and his family. As I grew older, I lived in my grandmother's house and reared my son there for a few years. Princess and my son Derrick were good friends and classmates.
I am reminded and celebrate with you when the scripture says, "Absent from the body, present with the Lord". Be ye comforted with these words. Friends from Cartwright Street: From Gerald and Deborah Washington, Friends from St. James Blvd. "The Campbell Family".
