Joseph duPerier Obituary

1944 - 2017 Joseph Reagan duPerier, Jr. peacefully passed away on Monday, July 24, in Carrollton, Texas after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Sr. and Lynne duPerier of Beaumont, Texas. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Mary Anne and Jim Gilbert of Carrollton; aunt, Myrtle Watkins of Carrollton; daughter, Courtney and husband Milton Newton; son, Jason, and grandchildren Alexander and Nicholas Newton of Austin; cousins Sara and Richard Cusick, Dorothy and Mike Carroll, Helen and Joe Greer, all of Carrollton, Joseph and Dawn Morrison of Conroe Texas, Tom and Jan Morrison of Pearland; and Anna Marie Blandford of Port Arthur, Texas. He was also survived by his lifelong friend, Frank Girolamo and wife, Elizabeth, of Houston, Texas. The family would like to thank a dear friend, Aaron Green for his support and friendship for many years. Reagan attended Lamar University, joining Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He then turned his attention to the University of Texas at Austin. He became a lifelong fan and supporter of the University. His sister and brother- in-law are convinced that the best achievement at UT was introducing them. He graduated with a degree in architecture. He traveled the world mostly managing the construction of hospitals. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, ATO Alumni Association of Austin, where he served as president, the Heritage Society, Texas Society of Architects and of course, was a life member of the University of Texas Ex students Association. He was recognized in Who's Who by the Society of Architects in the South and Southwest. A Rosary for Mr. duPerier will be recited at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., at St. Anne Catholic Church Parish Hall, 2715 Calder Avenue, Beaumont. Reverend Monsignor William F. Manger and Very Reverend Joseph P. Daleo will officiate. His interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont with his loved ones who preceded him in death.
