Linda Ogden Obituary

Linda Lee Sutton Ogden passed away November 22, 2021. Born February 1, 1939, in Enid, Oklahoma, most of her young life was spent in Beaumont, Texas, where she was surrounded by loving family, parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and many close friends. Later, she resided in Houston where she and husband J. C. Ogden shared life with daughter Lee Pate (now Fischer) and subsequently often "hosted" two adored grandchildren, Megan and Trey Fischer.

Linda is survived by daughter Lee Fischer and her husband Bill Fischer, granddaughter Megan and grandson Trey Fischer, brother Bill Sutton and his wife Isabel, aunt Gwen Mercer, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends who will love and cherish her always.

In addition to her parents Billy and Mary Lee Sutton, those preceding Linda in death were husband J. C. Ogden, brother John Sutton, sister Douglas Vines, aunt Mary Sutton, and others who were an important part of her life.

A few family gathered for a memorial service on December 17, conducted by Linda and J. C.'s former pastor, Rev. Jim Jackson, at Chapelwood Methodist Church in Houston .

Known for her innate sense of design and style, Linda's love of beauty extended well beyond the material, as evidenced by her sweet and generous spirit, leaving her imprint on our hearts as well.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

I am Linda's aunt. Moving to Beaumont at the time Linda and her friends were having fun just being little girls, it was inspiring to watch their friendships grow. They were going to school, having fun, and forming lifelong relationships. They will miss her, and I will too.
