Louis Voan Obituary

Louis James Paw Paw Voan, 84, of Winnie, died peacefully at his home May 23, 2011. Paw Paw Voan was well known in the Winnie area for his J. & E. Lawnmower Repair Service and for his work with the Masonic Lodge #1377. He loved to go deer hunting and spend time with his family. Paw Paw is survived by his sons, Kenny Ortego and his wife, Susie, N. J. Bubba Ortego and his wife, Mary Lou; daughters, Murlene Blanchard and her husband, Donny, and Tammy Ortego all of Winnie; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great- grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ella Mae Sonnier Voan; son, Roger Lee Ortego; daughter, Rita Gayle Ortego; and granddaughter, Scottie Ortego. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at Broussard's, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive, in Winnie, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at Broussard's. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions in Mr. Voan's name be directed to: Masonic Lodge #1377, P. O. Box 437, Stowell, Texas 77661.
