Maria Poche Obituary

Mrs. Maria Poche, 87, of Port Acres died Sunday, January 27, 2008 at her home. Maria was born to Ernest and Estelle Thibodeaux Landry on March 6, 1920 in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. She was a member of St. Therese of the Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church in Port Acres. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Anthony Mookzhikuzhy officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Port Arthur. Visitation will be on Monday evening 5:00 - 8:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM. Maria was preceded in death by her husbands, Arthur J. Simoneaux, Sr. and LeeRoy Poche. She is survived by daughter, Pat Adams and husband Barry of China, Texas; two sons, Melvin Simoneaux of Nederland and Arthur Simoneaux and wife, Dana of Many, Louisiana; stepson, O'Neal Poche and wife, Jennifer of Port Arthur and step-daughter, Ornell Sims and husband, Bill of Port Arthur; two sisters, Marie Fletcher and Lula Mae Dauphine and husband, Leroy all of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana; 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
