Ronnie Croft

Ronnie Croft 1949 - 2016 Ronnie Croft, 67, of Vidor, TX, went to be with the Lord on November 10, 2016 after a long courageous battle with cancer. And while he endured many treatments over the years, he never complained, he always had a smile on his face and was faithful until the end. He was a very selfless man, loving and he had a heart of gold. Ronnie was born in Houston, TX on August 23, 1949. He was a veteran and served his country in the U.S. Army. He attended the University of Houston and worked in sales for several years. He also was a longtime business owner of Captain Ron's Seafood in Kountze, TX. He enjoyed serving his community and accomplished so much very quickly. He was voted Small Business Owner of the Year and he developed food seasoning products that were sold in local grocery stores in Southeast Texas and Louisiana. Ronnie enjoyed cooking, laughing, and spending time with family and friends. He was an active church member at Eastgate United Pentecostal Church in Vidor, TX. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Lois and Samuel Croft; his brothers, Robert Croft, Tony Croft and Boyd Croft; sister, Flora Townsend. Left to cherish Ronnie's memory are his loving wife of 41 years, Beverly Croft of Vidor, TX; his children, Jami Croft of Houston, TX, Amanda Croft Woodward and husband Blair of Houston, TX; his grandchildren, Taylor and Brynlee Croft, Jack Marshall and Georgia Leigh Woodward; his brothers, Jerry Croft and wife Mary Sue, William Van Croft and wife Elizabeth; sister, Lucy Galaviz and husband Nestor; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation is being held 4pm Monday, November 14 at Eastgate United Pentecostal Church in Vidor, TX. A Homecoming Service will follow the visitation at 7pm. A private burial service will be held for the family on Tuesday, November 15 at Restlawn Memorial in Vidor, TX. Honorary Pallbearers; Melvin Block, Kevin Block, George Turner, Jerry Cosby, Rusty Ferguson, Tim Manuel, Joey Manuel, J.J. Petrucci, and Benny Tauzin.
