Sharon Porter Obituary
A visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at the funeral home.
Sharon was born on January 21, 1948 in Hale Canter, TX to OM and Juanita Seal. She married Herbert Smith on January 22, 1965 in Plainview. She was his best farm hand and would always help him around the farm when he needed it. After his death in 2003 she married Ted Porter on March 15, 2008 in Plainview. She was an avid quilter and seamstress and also loved to garden. She became a hairdresser later in life.
She is preceded in death by her father; her first husband, Herbert Smith; two daughters, Kimberly Smith and Lisa Smith; one step-daughter, Paula Porter; two grandsons, Karson Roeder and Anthony Perez.
She is survived by her husband, Ted Porter of Plainview; one daughter, Lori Hadaway and husband Terry of Idalou, TX; three step-children, Richard Porter and wife Heather of Fort Worth, Becky Fortenberry of Plainview and Alycia Clayter and husband Dusty of Gordonville, TX; her mother, Juanita Kennedy and husband Billy of Plainview; fourteen grandchildren, Korbin, Danielle, Christofer, Christopher, Lexi, Hope, Krystal, Thomas, Maggie, Emma, Maddie, Hagen, Trip and Grip; eight great grandchildren, Hailey, Memphis, Mia, Melody, Karson, Kadi, Wyatt and Asher.
Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.
