STEVEN DESHAZO Obituary

Steven Bubba DeShazo, 49, of Beaumont, died Sunday, December 13, 2009, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. He was born January 9, 1960, in Biloxi, Mississippi to Ida Hunter and Charlie DeShazo. Bubba has lived in the Beaumont area since he was 10 years old and owned/operated Steve-D's Catering and Concessions. Survivors include his beloved wife of twenty-two years, Jennifer DeShazo of Beaumont; daughters, Sonya Duke and her husband Mike of Silsbee, Crystal Hinote and her husband Derek of Gulf Breeze, Florida, Melani Bundrick of Cypress and Brandy James and her fiancéyan Campbell of College Station; sons, Kurt Hayes of Beaumont and Charles DeShazo of Plantersville; mother, Ida Faye DeShazo of Lumberton; eight grandchildren, Megan Hinote, Hayley Shannon, Katelin Batson, Zack Hinote, Chelsi James, Jakob Duke, Noah Duke and William Duke; sisters, Charlotte Leblanc and her husband Ed of Dayton and Judy Tyler of Mesquite; brother, Kenny Jones of Jasper; mother and father-in-law, Verna and George Brooks; and his best friend and brother at heart, Arthur Berry of Beaumont. He is preceded in death by his father, Charlie DeShazo; and brother, Timmy DeShazo. His memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2009, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Broussard's Crematorium. Because of Steven's love for animals, memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Southeast Texas, P.O.
