Sylvester Wallet Obituary

1924-2016 Sylvester Wallet, 91, of Village Mills, died Sunday, July 10, 2016. He was born on August 20, 1924, in Orange, to Camalee Powers Wallet and Edwin Wallet. Mr. Wallet served his country in the United States Army and later worker as a maintenance supervisor for Warren Independent School District. He was also a member of Myrta Masonic Lodge #658, Ancient Free & Accepted Masons. Survivors include his children, Lonnie Wallet and his wife, Elaine, of Village Mills; David P. Wallet and his wife, Anita K., of Fred; Laura Collins and her husband, Floyd, Sr., of Village Mills; and Cynthia Herrington and her husband, Kelly, of Thicket; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Janet Howley of Village Mills; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Edna Beatrice Wallet; son, Daniel Glen Wallet; brothers, Edwin Wallet, Billy Gene Wallet, Calvin Wallet, and Michael Wallet; and sister, Hazel Mullins. A gathering of Mr. Wallet's family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 14, 2016, at Broussard's, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 15, 2016, at Broussard's, with his interment to follow at Holland Cemetery, Kountze.
