Hilda Booth Obituary

Hilda Morgan Booth of Thaxton, went to be with her lord on April 12, 2013. Hilda was 92 years young and was born in Bedford County in 1920. She was the daughter of the late Samuel B. Morgan and the late Mary B. Morgan. Hilda was also preceded in death by her husband, Kermit B. Booth; four brothers, one grandchild, and one great-grandchild. She is survived by her six loving children; Clara Burnette, Cordelia (husband, Oakey) Bramlett, Faye Bramlett, Jesse (wife, Melissa) Booth, Paula (husband, Earl) Brooks and Ellen Booth; two sisters, Sarah M. Plunkett and Ruth M. (husband, Albert) Hartberger; two sisters-in-law Katherine Holdren and Helen Booth, 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Epworth United Methodist Church, 1145 Penicks Mill Road, Thaxton, VA, and the American Red Cross, 1007 Sheffield Drive, Lynchburg, VA or Centra Hospice, 3300 Rivermont Ave., Lynchburg, VA. Funeral services were held at 2 pm, Monday, April 15, 2013, at Tharp Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joe Shoop officiating. Condolences may be sent by visiting, www.tharpfuneralhome.com.
