Alfredo Santos Obituary
Alfredo Alas Santos, age 79 of Maryville, IL, born January 29, 1938 in Paranaque City, Philippines, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at his residence with family by his side.
Alfredo was a retired accountant for Minute Service Bureau, formerly of St. Louis, MO. Before moving to the United States, he worked as a manager for Industrial Finance Corporation. He obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Science of Law in the Philippines. He loved to dance, photography, and WWII films. He was a talented portrait and landscape scenery artist. Alfredo loved his family and grandchildren, and will forever be cherished by them.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Honorio and Segunda De Las Alas Santos; two brothers, Emiliano and Guillermo Santos; a sister, Christita Santos; and a son-in-law, Cesar Aclan.
He is survived by his wife, Merlyn Llana Santos, whom he married May 13, 1961; a son, Arnel (Valerie) Llana Santos; three daughters, Maybeth Santos Aclan, Melody (Joseph) Santos Silhavy, and Maribel (Noel) Santos Villamayor; eight grandchildren, Joseph Arnold (Ashlyn) Silhavy Jr., Michael George Alfredo Silhavy, Nicholas Jerry Silhavy, Joshua James Santos Aclan, Timothy Jacob Santos Aclan, Christopher Emmanuel Santos Villamayor, Erica Carisa Santos Villamayor, and Matthew Patrick Santos Villamayor; and one great-granddaughter, Collins Melody Silhavy.

Visitation: Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday, January 15, 2018 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 207 Vandalia, Collinsville, IL.
Services: Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. following the visitation with Father John Beveridge, Celebrant. Burial will be in SS Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Collinsville, IL.
