Carol Baxmeyer Obituary
Carol Frances Baxmeyer, nee Weber, 69, of Waterloo, Ill., born March 13, 1942, in Belleville, Ill., died Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, at home with the Lord, after a long and courageous battle against cancer.
Carol was a member of Hope Christian Church. She loved her family and friends and was always concerned with their needs. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Kathryn, nee Koerber, Weber; grandson, Kadin Baxmeyer; daughter-in-law, Kathy Baxmeyer; and brother, David Weber.
Surviving are her husband, K. Richard "Boxy" Baxmeyer; children, James (Pam) Pagliai, John Baxmeyer and Dennis (Heather) Baxmeyer; step-children, James Baxmeyer, David (Valerie) Baxmeyer and Kim (Roger) Strong; grandchildren, Natalie (Chad) Taake, Deirdre (Derrick) Gregson, Nathan (Amy) Strong, Nicole and Kelli Strong, Keegan , Erynn, Kirsten, Paige, Skylar, Nola, Kendall, and Koen Baxmeyer; great-grandchildren, Ayla and Alyvia Strong and Holly and Henry Gregson; brothers and sister, Gene (Joyce) Weber, Kenny (Ruth) Weber and Violet (Hank) Schneider; sister-in-law, Diane Weber; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorial contributions to: Hope Christian Church Food Pantry or Austin Baum Memorial Fund- J.U.M.P Camp. www.quernheimfuneralhome.com.
Visitation: Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, and 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011, at Hope Christian Church, 9273 Coach Stop Rd., Columbia, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011, at the church with Pastor Darrell Jones officiating. Burial will be at Kolmer Memorial Cemetery, Waterloo, Ill.
