Belleville, Illinois - Cecilia V." Ces" Adrian, nee Guetterman, 91, of Belleville, IL, born June 12, 1931, was called to Heaven unexpectedly on July 15, 2022.
Ces, as she was known by many, lived her life to the fullest. After graduating from Belleville Township High School in 1949, she worked a brief time at Scott A.F.B. Marrying the love of her life, William K. Adrian, September 16, 1950, he introduced her to new adventures like boating, water skiing, bowling, and golf. All of which turned out she was very good at. From being part of the early Junior Women's Club and years of volunteering at St. Elizabeth's Hospital and Cathedral Grade School when the kids were little, she never tired of helping people. Ces and Bill enjoyed traveling together where they met some forever friends through their winter stays in Florida. She loved watching cooking shows and created the best meals. Ces was lucky at scratch off tickets, a talented artist, and an avid "super sub" bridge player where she loved her time spent with all the wonderful friends she made throughout the years. She enjoyed watching her hummingbirds and cardinals from the comfort of her recliner. Believe it or not, she couldn't wait for the next season of Yellowstone to come out! But nothing made her happier than visits from her children and grandchildren. She was quick to pick up the tab when going out to eat and was always up for trying her luck at the casinos, no matter how late she got home.
Ces was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Ottilia, nee Berger Guetterman; her beloved husband, Bill Adrian; a sister, Rose Mary Faulker, nee Guetterman; and two brothers, Raymond and Donnie Guetterman.
Surviving are her children, Lynn Domescik (Brett) and William V. Adrian (Bridget); Ces had six beautiful grandchildren whom she was so very proud of,
Bo Domescik (Katie), Justin Adrian (Jessalyn), Bre Domescik (Brett Bryant), Alexa Adrian (Garret Spiek), Jarrett Adrian (Sarah Jane), and Lindsey Adrian Hager (Kevin); a great grandchild who bears her name, Wren Cecilia Adrian, and come November, we are certain that she will be looking down with love on the birth of her second great granddaughter; and she was considered a second mom to Merribeth Oerter Cudney and Nanette Grosse who loved her like their own mother.
A devout Christian, a loving wife, a wonderful mom, a fun grandmother/great grandmother, a marvelous aunt, a caring friend, and the most generous heart…We could all learn from Ces on how to live that dash between life and death.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2022, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2022, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.
Funeral: Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2022, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with a friend of the family, Fr. Mike Hussey officiating.
Private burial will be at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
