When I attended Belleville Area College in 1978 and 1979, Mr. Pruitt made 3 semesters of Physics interesting. I actually enjoyed the classes and was very grateful to have Mr. Pruitt as an instructor. He definitely made me a better engineer and I know that he influenced many of his students. He not only was a great instructor but he was a wonderful person. I returned to BAC and visited him a few times after I left college; now I am sorry that I let so many years pass without contacting him. He was one of the best teachers I was blessed to have.

I’m sorry to learn of your loss. Although I didn’t know you father well, I do know that he was a good and honorable man of principle, who brought up his family to share in his respect of life & others. I’m sure that he held great pride in his children, as well as his partnership with your mother. I pray that you find comfort through memories of the days you spent together. May your father’s shared wisdom continue to be a cornerstone in your life and may you find comfort & direction through your faith in God. Please accept my condolences for you and your family.

To the Pruitt Family,
Mr. Pruitt was one of my favorite teachers I have had over many years of schooling. Physics became one of my favorite subjects because Mr. Pruitt had taught it. I know he will surely be missed by many, especially by me. May God give you the peace during this great loss.

Dewey Pruitt was a very interesting person to talk to. I had that opportunity many times as his pastor years ago. To you the family we learned to love so much we express our sympathy. Dewey was a great teacher and many through the years that had him as a teacher commented on his ability to communicate. May God bless and keep you all. Bob and Bev Souders

Mr. Pruitt helped me through 3 semesters of physics and was always available for his students. He was often in the lounge areas so the students felt more at ease seeking his advice. A great educator and inspiration for those fortunate enough to be in his classes.

Mr Pruitt has a left an lasting impression on my mind. He was probably the best professor in the history at BAC(swic) He will not be forgotten in my heart.
