Craig Schroeder
Craig A. Schroeder, 48, of Swansea, Ill., born Aug. 17, 1957, in Anaheim, Calif., died Friday, June 30, 2006, at Bohannon's Care Center, Lebanon, Ill., surrounded by his family.
Mr. Schroeder retired as a major after serving 17 years with the U.S. Air Force. He then worked as a civilian at Scott Air Force Base, Ill. Craig was a dedicated member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Belleville, Ill., and a loving father and husband.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ethel, nee Burgdorff, Schroeder.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Jeanneen, nee Tilley, Schroeder, whom he married Dec. 24, 1981; two daughters, Stefanie and Roxanne; a sister, Connie (Fred) Gibson of Ontario, Calif.; a nephew, Jeremy Gibson of Ontario, Calif.; an uncle and aunt, Glenn and Marilyn Burgdorff of Camp Point, Ill.; two aunts, Millie Vogel and Lea Butcher, both of Orange County, Calif.; and cousins.
The family would like to thank Family Hospice and the staff at Bohannon Care Center for their compassionate and dedicated care.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Family Hospice of the Belleville Area or to Bohannon's Care Center, Lebanon, Ill.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 2, 2006, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill., and from 8:15 to 9 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2006, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Belleville, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2006, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Belleville, Ill., with the Rev. Ron Neustadt officiating. Burial with military honors will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.

Did Craig attend the University of Redlands? If so, I was a very good friend of his, and lost touch with him over the years. Today I was thinking of him, and did a Google search. I´m so sorry for your loss.

For the love of God -- Craig died? Yes, but, for the Love of God, Craig lives. Our deepest sympathy to you Jeanneen, Stef and Roxanne. We are thinking of you and wish we could give you all a big hug. God's Peace be with you. Craig was a petty good guy for a Redlands grad.
