David Rasure

February 19, 1938 - June 8, 2025

Belleville, Illinois - David George Rasure, 87, of Belleville, IL, born February 19, 1938, in St. Louis, MO, died Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Oak Hill, Waterloo, IL.

Mr. Rasure worked for many years as a sales manager for Anheuser-Busch and its distributors and later worked as a real estate agent for Century 21. He was an active member of Cathedral of St. Peter Catholic Church. Dave stayed involved with the Benedictine College Ravens Alumni Group and was a very social person who enjoyed his time laughing and conversing with friends, family, and acquaintances. Dave took the time to always have a kind work with both friend and stranger. He also loved spending time in his yard and was an avid boater with many friends at Grafton Harbor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry J. and Helen M., nee Klimas, Rasure; a sister, Barbara Zoellner; a sister-in-law, Martha Rasure; and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Surviving are his wife of nearly 58 years, Agnes R, nee Fischer, Rasure, whom he married on June 17, 1967; a daughter, Ann Rasure; two sons, Joseph (Kristin) Rasure and Mark Rasure; two grandchildren, Bridget and William Rasure; three brothers, Don Rasure, Dale (Shannon) Rasure, and Dennis (Sheila) Rasure; a brother-in-law, Mark Zoellner; and many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Cathedral of St. Peter Catholic Church, Belleville, IL or the St. Vincent DePaul Society. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 12, 2025, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, June 13, 2025, at Cathedral of St. Peter Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 13, 2025, at Cathedral of St. Peter Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Msgr. John Myler officiating.

Burial with military honors will be held at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
