Troy, Illinois - Deborah J. "Debbie" McEwing, nee Donovan, age 71, of Troy, IL, born on March 23, 1952, in East St. Louis, IL, died on Friday, April 7, 2023, at her residence.
Debbie graduated from St. Teresa Academy in 1970, and was the co-owner of Roof Systems, Inc., in Troy, IL. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, and the Ladies Auxiliary of Shiloh Eagles Aerie 545. Debbie enjoyed doing crafts for over 30 years with her sister, Sarah.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael L. and Elizabeth L. "Betty" Donovan; her mother and father-in-law, Lester and Helen McEwing; her brother-in-law, Gary McEwing; her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Debbie is survived by her husband of 38 years, Danny J. McEwing; her siblings, Sarah J. Donovan of Swansea, IL, Dorothy J. "Dot" (Royce) Carlisle of Belleville, IL, and Michael L. Donovan, Jr., of Fairview Heights, IL; her nieces and nephews, Shawn Donovan of St. Louis, MO, Colleen (Chuck) Veillon of Belleville, IL, Andrea (Chris) Bastien of Belleville, IL, and Dawn (Mark) Zobrist of Highland, IL; her great nephew and nieces, Tre, Camille, Cadence, Josie, Madi, and Dani; her aunt, Dorothy Hill of River Ridge, LA. Debbie is also survived by many cousins and friends.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Debbie's cousins and friends, Residential Home and Health Care, and to Hospice of Southern Illinois for all of their care and love.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL, with the Ladies of Ancient Order of Hibernians service at 5:00 p.m.
Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.
