Deborah Scruggs

Deborah Ann Scruggs, 54, of Cahokia, Ill., born July 1, 1956, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010, at her residence.

Ms. Scruggs was a CNA for Adapt of America.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Nellie Scruggs; and a sister, Lenda Scruggs.

Surviving are two sons, Darrell Scruggs of Belleville, Ill., and Terrell Quarles of Cahokia, Ill.; her father, Leander Scruggs Sr., of East St. Louis, Ill.; eleven brothers and sisters, Leander Scruggs Jr. of Seattle, Wash., Stephanie Scruggs of St. Louis, Mo., Diane Scruggs of Belleville, Ill., Denise Scruggs of Belleville, Ill., Bryan Muhammad of East St. Louis, Ill., Smokey Scruggs of Seattle, Wash., Janet Scruggs of Tulsa, Okla., Benjamin Scruggs of Belleville, Ill., Andre Scruggs of St. Louis, Mo., Lamont Scruggs of Seattle, Wash., and Patricia Scruggs of East St. Louis, Ill.

Visitation: Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010, at St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church, 2908 Louisiana Blvd., East St. Louis, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010, at the church.
