Belleville, Illinois - Donald "Donnie" James Voegtle, 61, of Belleville, IL, born October 25, 1962, in Belleville, IL, died Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Evelyn's House, Creve Coeur, MO, surrounded by his family.

Donnie had retired from Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 101. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Millstadt, IL, and the National Association of Breweriana Advertising (NABA). He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Roy and Marilyn Eva, nee Schaefer, Voegtle; two brothers, David and Jeffrey Voegtle; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary and Jim Bradley; a brother-in-law, Gary Brinkmann; and his beloved German Shepherd, Heidi.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Michelle, nee Bradley, Voegtle, whom he married November 3, 1990; two daughters, Jenna (Andrew) Mueth and Samantha (Craig) Roever; four grandchildren, Clara Mueth, Bradley Mueth, Katherine Roever, and Landon Mueth; five brothers and sisters, Susan (Rich) Gold, Kevin Voegtle, Mark (Cindy) Voegtle, Tom (Trenda) Voegtle, and Mary (Terry) Carroll; his best friends, Charlie Busch, John O'Donnell, Jimmy Ross, and countless others; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, St. James Catholic School, Millstadt, IL, or to the family in care of Michelle Voegtle. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 22, 2024, at St. James Catholic Church, Millstadt, IL.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 22, 2024, at St. James Catholic Church, Millstadt, IL, with Fr. Evaristus Akabueze and Msgr. Marvin Volk concelebrating.

Burial will follow at Smithton City Cemetery, Smithton, IL.
