Donica Warren Obituary
Donica Warren, 92, of Granite City, Ill., born on April 8, 1920, in Golobrdo, Yugoslavia, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Ill.
In October of 1940, Donica married Arvie James Warren in Granite City, Ill., the love of her life. Donica was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and playing most card games, especially bridge, she was also an avid bingo player. Her greatest love was spending time with her family, whom she adored.
Donica was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arvie, who died on Feb. 28, 2000; parents, Joseph and Mary, nee Nigovic, Besta; a sister, Zorka Ritchie; and daughter in law, Janet (Darakjian) Warren.
Surviving are her loving children, Patricia (Henry) Barnett of Carmel, Ind,, James (fiance, Rhonda Ritchie) Warren of Dorsey, Ill., Mary Jo Warren of Kirkwood, Mo., and Deborah (Curt) Kinney of Ballwin, Mo.; brother, Rudolph Besta of Florissant, Mo.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Salvation Army or Madison County Humane Society and will be accepted at Irwin Chapel.

Visitation: friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Rd. Granite City, Ill.
Funeral: In celebration of her life, funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012 at Irwin Chapel. Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, Ill.

What a special part of my life your Mother was to me and so many others, I will never forget her, she made such an impression on me back then, and your house was like a second home to many because of Donica and the way she and your Dad raised their children. All my love to you all. God has a special angel looking down on you now:)
