Doris M. Jarvis, nee Goodwin, 76, of Trenton, Ill., born May 22, 1927, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Monday, Jan. 12, 2004, at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese, Ill.
Mrs. Jarvis was a member of St. Mary Church, Trenton, Ill. and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Jarvis, whom she married Feb. 14, 1946, at Immaculate Conception Church, Centerville, Ill., and who died Sept. 26, 1993; her parents, James and Hilda, nee Exendine, Goodwin; a brother, Gerald Goodwin; two sisters, Helen and Wilma Goodwin; and a grandson, Jeffrey Hoffman.
Surviving are a son, Anthony (Deborah) Jarvis of Trenton, Ill.; five daughters, Mary (Lonnie) Hoffman of Breese, Ill., Carol (Eugene) Long of Trenton, Ill., Cathy (Andrew) Marzullo of El Segundo, Calif., Elizabeth (friend Bob Reynolds) Sherrel of St. Ann, Mo., and Frances Smith of Maryville, Ill.; five grandchildren, Kevin Hoffman, Marc (Nicki) Jarvis, Renee Jarvis, Kelly Jarvis and Ryan Jarvis; four great-grandchildren, Nova Marie, Danielle, Kyle and Brenden; two brothers, Paul Richard (Dorothy) Goodwin of Leslie, Mo., and David (Linda) Goodwin of Baltimore, Md.; and two sisters, Nancy Goodwin of Cahokia, Ill., and Judith Carron of Granite City, Ill.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, 2004, and from 8 to 9:45 a.m. Friday, Jan. 16, 2004, at Moss Funeral Home, Trenton, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 16, 2004, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Trenton, Ill., with the Rev. Donald Blaes officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Trenton, Ill.
