It was truly an honor to know Doug and serve as his team lead for the past four years. He was truly a dedicated employee and will be deeply missed. I am so sorry it has taken me so long to pass along my condolences. I think of Doug every day.

My deepest sympathy to your family and pray you find comfort in knowing Doug is marching to a different drummer now. He's in the greatest parade of all with the King of Kings keeping time; mark time. That was an old drum corp term. I was so happy to see Doug at a Crusader Drum Corp reunion in 2006. He had such a good heart and tender soul. I know he will be missed, but also know he's in a much better place. May you all find comfort in knowing he's in the best of company. He no longer is burdened with our physical body that binds our spirit. He is free from any pain and suffering. Free to be with all our other loved ones that have passed on to the other side. Save a place in the grand stand for all your friends Doug. Rest in Peace. God Bless and Keep You Always. Your light still shines in the eyes of those who's lives you touched in so many ways. So happy trails to you, until we meet again~~~~~~

What an amazing service, Doug! You would have loved it, but I know you had a greater parade to march. Thank you for being such a good and faithful friend all these years and for sharing your wonderful family with me. It's amazing to me how our families blended to make so many favored memories. Thanks also for providing the path to the best friend a girl could ever hope to have! My love to each and every Brink: You're all so special to me. ('See you on the other side, Doug.)

My heart goes out to Doug's family and friends. I remember Doug before the auto accident that changed his life. We were Crusader buddys and good friends. I remember us riding a gocart from my folks home in Belleville to his folks house in Fairview. That was before all the build-up between the two towns. It was an adventure that we were foolhardy to try, but we succeded. He was a strong vibrant person and didn't take any BS from anyone. That is just one of many good memories that I have of a friend from years past that left this world too soon. God bless him and condolences to his family.

Just wanted to tell you good-bye again buddy. I miss you already. Thanks for everything you did for me and helped me through. I really appreciate it all. And to all the family, we know he's in a better place now. I had a fun time getting to know everyone during my time w/ Doug, esp. Mom. I love you all.

Diane & family,
My prayers & thoughts are with you all.
I remember all of you quite well from our childhood days & many fond memories of riding our bikes up & down the dip by your house.
I see from the photo in the paper Doug still had that cute smile he always had.

My thoughts and prayers and with the Brink family. I'm very sorry that I will not be able to attend the service as I will be out of town. I remember all the good times we had in the Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corp. Doug was a very fun person and very kind. He is walking the streets of gold with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, you can't get better than that. God Bless you all.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Brink family at this difficult time. I'm very sorry that I'm not able to attend the service, as I will be out of town. Even though I have not seen Doug in a number of years I will always remember the wonderful times we had in the Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corp. Doug was a very fun person and very kind. He is walking the streets of gold with our Saviour Jesus Christ, nothing could be better than that. He will be missed but our memories will never be gone. God Bless you all.
