E. Donald Fortenberry
E. Donald Fortenberry, 69, of Arab, Ala., formerly of Millstadt, Ill., born Nov. 10, 1934, in Marshall County, Ala., died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2003, in Arab, Ala.
Mr. Fortenberry retired from Monsanto Co., as a physicist. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Millstadt, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Elige and Annie M., nee Folsom, Fortenberry.
He is survived by his wife, June, nee Wecker, Fortenberry of Arab, Ala.; two sons, Kenny (Kristine) Fortenberry of Urbana, Ill., and Donnie (Janeen) Fortenberry of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a daughter, Brenda (Tom) McManemy of Millstadt, Ill.; his brothers, Robert, Paul, Andrew, Jerry and James Fortenberry, all of Guntersville, Ala., and Jasper Fortenberry of Bradenton, Fla.; his sisters, Geneva Eubanks of Arab, Ala., Dimple Fay Rives of Arab, Ala., Lily Pack of Irvine, Calif., Gladys Farmer of Albertville, Ala., and Kate Stover of Gadsden, Ala.; nine grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made to St. James Catholic Church or Gibault High School.

Visitation: Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 21, 2003, and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003, at Strauss Funeral Home, Millstadt, Ill. A prayer service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Funeral: Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003, at St. James Catholic Church, Millstadt, Ill., with the Rev. Bernard Goedde and the Rev. Bill Hitpas officiating. Entombment will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Ill.
