Edith King
Edith Pearson King of East St. Louis, Ill., born June 17, 1914, in Muldrow, Miss., died Friday, May 9, 2008, at her residence.
Mrs. King was an active member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Luther Pearson, Sr.; mother, Rosie Lee Muldrow Pearson Blair; husband, G.W. King, Sr.; brothers, Luther, Jr., Muldrow, and Carl Pearson; sisters, Lillian Bush, Vivian Johnson, Catherine Townsend and on May 11, 2008, her youngest sister, Rosemary Pelham.
Surviving are her daughters, Yvonnejenai Robinson of Cleveland, Ohio and Fayetta Jean (Ernest) Page, Jr., of East St. Louis, Ill.; son, G.W. (Edna) King, Jr. of Falls Church, Va.; granddaughters, Vivian Lee and Andrea D. Callahan; great-grandchildren, Royce Robinson, Darian McKinney, Jessica Callahan and Ariella Hampton; great-great-grandchildren, Samara, Jada and Blake, Jr.; and a special friend, Rodney Lewis.

Visitation: Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 17, 2008, at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, East St. Louis, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at noon with the interment immediately following in the Sunset Gardens of Memory, Millstadt, Ill.

Edith was a very special lady. I met her at the SIUE Chiropractic Clinic. I still carry her business card even though it was a few years back. I have thought of her often and I want to express my sympathy to her family.
