Ella Lewis Obituary
Ella Mae Lewis, nee Tice, 75, of Cahokia, Ill., born Feb. 12, 1929, in Hamilton, Ala., died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at Gateway Regional Hospital, Granite City, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Lewis; her parents, Henry and Icy, nee Cochran, Tice; and two daughters, Betty Pullen and Wilma Phillips.
Surviving are three children, James (Linda) Lewis, Charles (Helen) Lewis and Geraldine Hornburg; a grandmother of 15; a great-grandmother of 24; a great-great-grandmother of one; two sisters, Elgie Lee and Faye; and a brother, Gene. She was our dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 3, 2005, at Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005, at Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, Ill., with the Rev. David Carpenter officiating. Entombment will be in Hillcrest-Abbey Mausoleum, St. Louis, Mo.
