Erwin Buch Obituary
Erwin W. Buch, 93, of Red Bud, Ill., born on June 5, 1923, passed from this life to his heavenly home on Friday, Oct. 21, 2016, with his family by his side.
Erwin had worked as a dairy farmer. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Red Bud, Ill. and also, a member of the Randolph County Farm Bureau. He loved mowing grass and doing jigsaw puzzles with his kids and grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Clara (Kelkhoff) Buch; wife, Irene Buch, nee Voss, whom he married June 5, 1948, at St. John's Lutheran Church at Red Bud, Ill., who died Nov. 12, 2010; one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Connie Buch; and two brothers, Edwin Buch and Arlin Buch.
Surviving are five sons, Gerald (Maggie) Buch of Steelville, Ill., Roger (Carol Sue) Buch of Ellis Grove, Ill., Donald (Chris) Buch, Darrell Buch, and David Buch all of Red Bud, Ill.; four daughters, Norma Buch, Carol (Don) Crabill, Lorna (Keith) Kinzel, and Marian (Roderick) Groetecke, all of Red Bud, Ill.; 18 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; one brother, Alvin Buch of Red Bud, Ill.; one sister, Esther Buch of Red Bud, Ill.; four sister-in-laws, Leoma Heller of Venedy, Ill., Anita Mueller of Fults, Ill., Viola Munch of Red Bud, Ill. and Dolores Voss of Texas, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation: Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, 2016, and from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016, all at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Red Bud, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016, at the church, Red Bud, Ill., with Rev. Scott Hojnacki officiating. Burial will follow at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Red Bud, Ill.

I have so many wonderfull memories of family celebrations and work put into his farm.
This year I was fortunate enough to spend some time with him during several trips back home.
It was nice to have everyone around at his 83rd birthday party, sitting outside in the sun sharing stories of the times.
The one thing that always comes to mind from that day was his Strength and Conviction in his faith as he Lead us in the Lords Prayer. I'll never forget that moment!
I love you and miss you Grandpa.
