Ethan Price Obituary
Ethan James Price, 11, of Granite City, Ill., passed away at 5:08 p.m. in Jefferson County, Mo., on Saturday, March 1, 2014, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born May 6, 2002, in Granite City, Ill., the son of Theresa Ann Godwin of Granite City, Ill., and David William Price of Granite City, Ill. He was a member of Calvary Life Church in Granite City where he enjoyed being a part of the Calvary Cruisers. He attended the 5th grade at Grigsby Middle School in Granite City, Ill., where he was proud to be on the honor roll. He played the trombone with the school band and was also a member of the Cub Scouts Pack No. 4015. He had a special love of the outdoors, spending time camping and riding his bike. He loved playing with his little sister, Bryleigh and was very protective of his family. He loved to talk and was very sociable and kind to everyone and his outgoing and sweet personality will never be forgotten.
In addition to his beloved mother and father, he is survived by grandparents, Cindy and Mark Reynolds of Granite City, Ill., David Price of Granite City, Ill., and Arlene and Mark Gurganus of Virginia and Francis Godwin Jr., of O'Fallon, Mo.; great-grandparents, James and Merle Price of Granite City, Ill., Juanita Harris of North Carolina; James Shemwell of Granite City, Ill., Mary Jo Reynolds of Florissant, Mo., and Larry Reynolds of Mt. Carmel, Ill.; aunts and uncles, Sarah Reno, Ben Reno, Melissa Seamster and Ethan Gurganus; many cousins; other extended family and friends.
In addition to his precious angel sister, Bryleigh Nicole Greene, he was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Sarah Shemwell and Fats and Eleanor Godwin.
Memorials may be made to the family and may be accepted at the funeral home.

Visitation: In celebration of their precious lives, friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. March 6, 2014, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services for him and his sister will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2014, at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Maynard officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon, Ill.

This is so heartbreaking, as tears flow down, I remember you taking your first steps.. and me trying to get you to do it again because Theresa was out of the room. I'll never forget how smart you were, sometimes too smart for you own good. You were such a sweet boy, and will never be forgotten. Take care of baby sis, and keep an eye on mom and dad. Love you sweet boy!
