Ethel Lieben
Ethel A. Lieben, nee Simkins, 100, of Belleville, Ill., born July 19, 1903, in Manchester, England, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003, in Belleville, Ill.
Mrs. Lieben was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Belleville, Ill., Windemere Chapter 328 O.E.S., Al Sihah Temple #29 Daughters of the Nile, Women's Club of Belleville, St. Clair County Garden Club, Ladies Auxiliary of Professional Engineers, Ladies Auxiliary of the American Chemical Society, the Wednesday Club and River Bluff Girl Scout Council.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene William Lieben; parents, Harry and Eleanor, nee Hey, Simkins; and two grandchildren, Susan E. Correale and Pamela L. Correale.
Surviving are two daughters, Alice (Herman) Correale of Collinsville, Ill., and Doris (David) Schneider of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren, Dr. Michael Correale, Karen Correale (Richard) MacDonald, Tom Correale, Chris (Donna) Correale, Paul (Katherine) Correale, Kristen (Scott) Shearer, and Caitlin (Tommy) Schneider-Lo; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was dearly loved by all her family and will be deeply missed.

Visitation: Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. until time of service Friday, Oct. 10, 2003, at Kurrus Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, 2003, at the funeral home with the Rev. Andrew Kramer officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Ill.
