We extend our deepest sympathy. Although Gene was a quiet person, we always enjoyed his company. He was kind and gentle. We'll fondly remember the family gatherings with him.

Uncle Gene was very special to me. One of the fondest memories I have is when I graduated from kindergarden, he gave me a navy blue patten leather purse that had a should strap and zipper. When I unzipped the purse, it was filled with bubble gum. I loved bubble gum. Another memory I have is when I graduated from 8th grade, he and Aunt Anne gave me a small compact that had pearls and amethyst stones on top. Amethyst is my birthstone. I still have this compact.
I also remember before he married Aunt Anne, he would come over and spend the night at our house. I always thought that was a very big deal. He was my godfather which adds to the special place he holds in my heart.
