Eugene G. Wickman, 88, of Belleville, Ill., born May 14, 1919, in Granite City, Ill., died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2007, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Ill.
Mr. Wickman was a retired machinist at Walworth-Valve Company. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace, Belleville, Ill. Eugene was also a Boy Scout leader for St. Joseph Church, Granite City, Ill. He was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anne I., nee Toth, Wickman, who died June 13, 1996; his son, Thomas Wickman; his parents, Frank O. and Margaret M., nee Molitor, Wickman; a sister, Anna Mae Kiwala; and son-in-law, Francis Walsh.
He is survived by his daughter, Carole Walsh of Shiloh, Ill.; his son, Jim (Peggy) Wickman of Belleville, Ill.; three grandchildren, Grant Walsh, Tim (Kelly) Walsh, and Adam Berg; a sister, Agnes Kelahan of Granite City, Ill.; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, many cousins, and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007, at St. Augustine of Canterbury, 1910 W. Belle St., Belleville, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007, at St. Augustine of Canterbury, Belleville, Ill., with the Rev. Stan Konieczny officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Edwardsville, Ill.
