Belleville, Illinois - H. Thomas Luetkemeyer, 94, of Belleville, IL, born July 31, 1928, in Belleville, IL, died on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Freeburg Care Center, Freeburg, IL.
Thomas served in the United States Army and is a Korean War Army Veteran. He was a longtime member and participant of the Shriners and a former Mason. Thomas had a passion for collecting, fixing, and selling Allis Chalmer tractors.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 44 years, Betty L. Luetkemeyer, whom he married on May 8, 1954, and who died on January 1, 1999; his parents, Henry and Pearl, nee Cookson, Luetkemeyer; and a brother, Robert Luetkemeyer.
He is survived by his son, Thomas J. (Nita) Luetkemeyer; a grandson, Joshua Luetkemeyer; a sister, Dorris Martinez; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Freeburg Care Center. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.
Visitation: Friends may visit with the family from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, March 3, 2023, with a Masonic ritual starting at 10:45 a.m., at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.
Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 3, 2023, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.
Burial will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.

So sorry to see this. I am a pharmacist at Walmart & he would always come in. We found we had something in common when he told me his tractors were restored in Sigel, IL, my home town. Whenever he came in, he asked if I had been to Niemergs in Effingham for pie. So sorry for your loss. He always made me smile!
