Marcella R. Luetkemeyer (Bruning), born October 26, 1936, in Troy, Missouri to Raymond and Rose Bruning, passed peacefully on July 10, 2024, at her home in Olathe, Kansas. Marcella married the love of her life Gene F. Luetkemeyer on June 24, 1955, in Warrenton, Missouri where they made their home prior to living in Illinois, Nebraska and eventually settling in Olathe, Kansas in 1972. She was a homemaker for many years dedicating her time to lovingly raising her children. She returned to work and put her servant's heart to use by working in many capacities in social and charity work until her retirement.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, her in-law's, Jay and Vi Luetkemeyer, Sister Yvonne Rhoades, Brother Marvin Bruning, Sisters-in-law Beverly, Ruth and Carol Luetkemeyer, and Brothers-in-law Jon Luetkemeyer and Larry Malott.
Marcella leaves behind a large loving family: Husband Gene, Sons Fred Luetkemeyer & wife Rita, Olathe and Brian Luetkemeyer and wife Jolene, Warrenton, Mo and daughter Kathy Corbin and husband Phil, Williamsburg, KS. Five Grandchildren, Brandon Luetkemeyer, Wright City, MO, Jason Luetkemeyer, High Hill, MO, Jessica Smith and husband Levi, Springfield, MO, Tony Corbin and wife Brylynn and Kylee Corbin all of Williamsburg, KS. One Great-Grand Child, Walker Corbin, Williamsburg, KS. Sister Helen Malott, Phoenix, AZ. Brother-in-law Kenneth Luetkemeyer, Jefferson City, MO. 3 generations of nieces and nephews and an amazing group of friends.
