Helen Killingsworth Obituary
Helen M. Killingsworth, nee Satterfield, 87, of Swansea, Ill., born Sunday, July 24, 1921, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at Rosewood Care Center in Swansea, Ill.
Mrs. Killingsworth worked as a retail clerk for W.T. Grant. She was a member of Bellecomers Group, Skating Debs, Jr. Service and enjoyed playing bridge and bingo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Owen D. Killingsworth; parents, Luther and Claudia, nee Miller, Satterfield; and sister-in-law, Evelyn Clipper.
Surviving are her daughters, Karen L. (Dale) Potter of Columbia, Mo., and Jane E. (Steve) Schneider of Swansea, Ill.; son, Alan Dee Killingsworth of Freeburg, Ill.; brother, Melvin (Mildred "Midge") Satterfield of Deerborne, Mich.; grandchildren, David Potter, and Amy Killingsworth; dear nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Visitation: Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 2009, at the Kurrus Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 20, 2009, at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Rev. Larry Patton officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Belleville, Ill.

Dear Jane, Karen and Alan, I was so sorry to hear about your mom's passing. I too look back and remember good times hanging out at your house when we were kids. I know it's been years since we've seen each other, but just wanted you to know that you're in my thoughts and prayers during this rough time. Stay close to each other.
