Waterloo, Illinois - Henry Philip "Hank" Huelsman 85 of Cahokia, IL, born September 6, 1936 in Hecker, IL, passed away on Friday December 31, 2021 at his son's residence in Waterloo, IL, surrounded by his loving family.
Hank retired from Braun Auto Electric in East St. Louis, IL, and formerly worked at Huelsman Automotive in Cahokia, & Waterloo, IL. Hank was the first president of Piston Pusher car club in O'Fallon, IL. A member of Knights of Columbus in Cahokia, IL, and he belonged to St. Catherine's Mens Club and Holy Family Mens Club for many years. Hank enjoyed dancing, listing to old tunes and spending time with family and friends.
Preceded in death by his wife Barbara Huelsman nee Callahan, 3 brothers James, Richard "Dickie", & David Huelsman. Special friend JoAnn Russell.
Surviving are his children; Timothy (Janet) Huelsman of Waterloo, IL, Diane Brummer of Maryville, IL, Douglas (Annette) Huelsman of Highland, IL. A sister Marilyn Ernst of Columbia, MO. 5 grandchildren; Lindsay (Andrew) Riebeling, Ryan Brummer, Jeffrey Huelsman, Daniel Huelsman, Tanner Huelsman. 5 great grandchildren; Adeline, Charlotte, Thomas, James & Madison. Also survived by his 1965 Chevelle. Former son-in-law Jim Brummer and former granddaughter-in-law Jessica Huelsman. Hank was a dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Visitation will be on Tuesday January 4, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Braun Family Funeral Home 265 Quarry Rd. Columbia, IL
Funeral procession will leave on Wednesday 9:40 am for a mass of Christian burial at 10:00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, Cahokia, IL. with Father Linus Umoren and Father Osang Idagbo cm officiating. Private cremation will follow.
