Herman Hinds

Herman L. Hinds, 91, of Glen Carbon, Ill., born Thursday, Nov. 29, 1923, in Granite City, Ill., passed away at 5:33 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2015, at Eden Village Care Center in Glen Carbon, Ill.

Mr. Hinds was a World War II Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Annabelle Lee, nee Miller, Hinds; two sons, Michael and Rick Hinds; a daughter, Mary Hinds; his parents, Sherman and Anna, nee Berry, Hinds; two brothers, Thurman and Denver; and three sisters, Norma, Elenore and Del.

Surviving are two sons, David (Pat) Hinds of St. Louis, Mo., and Rob (Evelyn) Hinds of Frisco, Texas; a sister, Juanita Robertson of California; two daughters-in-law, Toni Hinds and Debi Hinds; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, Glen Carbon, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at the funeral home with Rev. Stephen French officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, Ill.
