Hilda Amann Obituary
Hilda C. Amann, nee Knobeloch, 95, of Belleville, Ill., born Oct. 5, 1915, in Shiloh Valley Township, Ill., died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010, at Dammert Geriatric Center, Belleville, Ill.
Mrs. Amann was a member of St. Peter's Cathedral Catholic Church in Belleville. She was proud of her German heritage and truly loved being a farmer's wife, working beside her husband on their farm.
Hilda was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Irvin, whom she married on Feb. 22, 1949, and who died on Dec. 1, 1999; her parents, William and Christine, nee Schneidewind, Knobeloch; three brothers, Oliver, Elmer and Clarence Knobeloch; and a sister, Elsie Amann.
Surviving are her sister-in-law, Gert Amann of Belleville, Ill.; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; and other extended family and friends.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Dammert Geriatric Center for the love and care they gave Hilda.
Memorials may be made to the Belleville Area Humane Society. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.
Visitation: Friends may call in celebration of her life from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010 at George Renner and Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral procession will leave at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010 from George Renner and Sons Funeral Home for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter's Cathedral, Belleville, Ill., with Father John Myler officiating. Burial will be at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, Ill.

To Hilda's family,
I only knew Hilda for a few short years, as I groomed her beloved scotties. What a sweet and wonderful lady.
I enjoyed the short talks we had together.
