Kaitlyn Niermann Obituary
Kaitlyn J. Niermann, 18, of Red Bud, Ill., born Dec. 11, 1991, in Red Bud, Ill., passed away at 11:20 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, near Coulterville, Ill.
Kaitlyn was a senior at Red Bud High School and was taking classes at Beck Vocational Center. After graduation, she planned a career in nursing.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Red Bud, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Vera Rahn; and uncle, Tim Godier.
Surviving are her mother, Toni, nee Blackmore, Niermann of Red Bud, Ill.; father, Gerald (Terry) Niermann of Waterloo, Ill.; a sister, Jessica Niermann (fiance, James) of Tucson, Ariz.; a brother, Travis Niermann of Red Bud, Ill.; a step-sister, Alex Feldker of Waterloo, Ill.; a nephew, Jonathan Workman; paternal grandparents, John and Connie Niermann of Red Bud, Ill.; maternal grandparents, Art Blackmore of Red Bud, Ill., and Sandy (Bob) Madl of Red Bud, Ill.; aunts and uncles, Debbie Godier of Prairie du Rocher, Ill., Debbie Keil of Arnold, Mo., Wendy Guebert of St. Louis, Mo., Art Blackmore of Georgetown, Texas, and Tammy Blackmore of Red Bud, Ill.; and many cousins and friends.
Memorials may be made to the family choice.
Visitation: Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010, and 8 to 9:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, at Welge-Pechacek Funeral Home, Red Bud, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Red Bud, Ill., with Msgr. Dennis Schaefer officiating. Burial will be at St. John Catholic Cemetery, Red Bud, Ill.

My thoughts and prayers go to the Niermann family. Words cannot even express what Kaitlyn meant to us all. Not a day will go by when I don't think about all the good memories she brought to my life. No one will ever replace her, not in my heart, nor in anyone else's. I know Kaitlyn left us with nothing but joy and happiness and i know she left living life to the fullest. She will NEVER be forgotten. She will always be with us, and one day we will meet again, but until that day comes, I love you Kaitlyn, and you will forever be in my heart.
Again, my deepest thoughts and prayers are with the Niermann family and all those who like me, shared so many wonderful times with Kaitlyn.

Gerry, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I lost my son in a car wreck in 1995. He was only 15 years old. You will always wonder why why my child. This is not fair. But with the prayers and loving friends and family we survive. It is not easy to go through but if you just take it one day at a time, thats all we can do. i just found out about this horrible tradgedy this morning , my mom called me after reading it in the paper, my deepest sympathy goes out to all of you ! i use to babysit kaitlyn ,she always had a smile, she is smiling down on you all in heaven now!my thoughts and prayers are with you, during this difficult time.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jerry, Toni, Travis. I knew Kaitlyn since my Freshman year, I didn't really get to hang out with her that much. But what time I did spend with her was some of the best times that I have ever had. She was such a sweet, caring, and loving girl. She was among the best that I have ever met. I know she's in a better place now. She will always be watching over her family and friends.

I love you all soo much. I will always remember weekends spent on the 4 wheelers at your house and on the farm. I'll remember the time Kaitlyn took me to the teen center in Red Bud to meet all of her friends..I am going to miss seeing her smiling face and the opportunity to see her graduate this spring

Kaitlyn was my best friend, we used to do everything together. These last couple months we departed for some time, then the night before she past, she stopped by and we talked about the old times with us and we talked about the future. Now all of that is gone, and Ill never get to see her again. I know I'm not the only one that misses her, that's for sure! I turned to her for everything. I loved her like a sister. I didn't know Kaitlyn, but I saw her at Church in Red Bud with her Grandparents and Lisa's in Prairie du Rocher. I could tell she was a happy because she was always smiling.
