Kassie Hudson Obituary
Kassie L. Hudson, 47, passed away at 1:20 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015.
Kassie was born on June 30, 1968, in Maryville, Ill., to Henry Hudson and Verdina Greene.
After graduating from high school she joined the U.S. Army and later attended Southwestern Illinois College. Kassie worked in the finance industry in both the private and government sector, in St. Louis, Mo., Washington D.C. and most recently in San Antonio, Texas.
Kassie is lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Brit'ni Yohannes and Krystal Belcher; a grandson, Jaleel Yohannes; siblings, Leatrice Garrett, Karen Hudson, Cynthia (Howard) Moore and Henry Hudson; nephews, Arthur Clay (Shanita) Garrett Jr., Shannon Hudson, Anthony Garrett, Alonzo (Amy) Garrett, Austin, (Aisha) Garrett, Andre Hudson, Andrew Garrett; a niece, Kendra Womack; many other relatives; and a host of friends, including her best friend, Rhoda (Victor) Valentine.
We lost a mother, sister, aunt and a loving friend.
Visitation: Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, 2015, at Mount Joy Baptist Church, 327 Olive St., Edwardsville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, 2015, at the church with Rev. Steve Jackson as eulogist. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Kassie and I grew up together from Kindergarten at Columbus School to graduating from EHS. She always had a smile on and made us laugh, especially when she got a case of the giggles. I am so sorry to hear of her untimely passing. I am sending Light and Loving thoughts to her family. Kassie, RIP you are missed.

Kass was like a big sister to me. We grew into adulthood together and were there for each other through some rough and some wonderful times. I will miss her and her quirky ways.
