Kristi Spisak Obituary
Kristi M. Spisak, 36, born April 30, 1973, in Centreville, Ill., died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009.
Kristi was an inspiration to all who knew her, and she will be missed by all.
She was the beloved partner of Kendree, nee Kowalczyk, Spisak; treasured mother of Kyle Spisak; and loved daughter of Kenneth Spisak and Claudia Foran. She was also a beloved sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend to many.
Memorials may be made to the Siteman Cancer Center, or to the Kyle Spisak Education Fund.
Visitation: Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, at the Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Rd. Kirkwood, Mo.
Funeral: A funeral service will be held at a later date. Please call Bopp Chapel, 314-965-7680.

kristi - i was walking out of work today andthought how badly i wantedto call you. eveything i do at work is inspired by you. all the lessons you taught me, i remember and i am trying. i am working on a project that you last worked on when you were first diagnosed. i will cut you some slack for some crazy decisions because you were probably a little distracted. i love you so much and i miss you dreadfully. don't worry - i will keep people happy at work. it's what i know how to do.

Kristi was an incredible person that put everyone before herself and genuinely cared about others. She impacted my life in so many ways and I am so happy that I had the opportunity to create a friendship with her. She will be missed greatly.

KRISTI I miss you so much !!! I still remember the 1st day I met you. You were 4 and you read the TV guide to me and we would always watch your favorite show "Emergency" together. How ironic that we watched it together before you passed. Thank you for blessing me with you in my life. I love you so much.

I can only imagine how hard this must be for Kristi's family. She was such a neat person and a great mom to Kyle. I always enjoyed talking and laughing with her during her haircuts. I know she will be missed by everyone who knew her. I hope her family will find peace and comfort in knowing that so many people cared about her.

I have had the fortune of working with Kristi for the past 10 years. Throughout that time I was always impressed with how she never forgot a face and how she made everyone feel special and important. She was an exceptionally smart and strong woman who I will not forget.

Kristi had a magical spirit that I am fortunate enough to have had a chance to experience. She was a dear friend through the years; sharing in my personal milestones and embarrassing moments. Kristi was my cousin and we will all miss her so much. I never had a chance to say goodbye to her because unfortunatly while she was fighting cancer, so was my mother. My sympathies and condolences are with the Spisak family and my family as well. We all will miss you Kristi and we all love you.

So often you hear the cliché about bad things happening to good people. This is truly the case with Kristi. Although her time here was entirely too short she touched so many along the way. I’ve never known a smarter, stronger or more caring woman. We are all better for being blessed enough to be a part of her life. My sympathies go out to the Spisak family during their time of great sorrow. I went to school with Kristi but hadn't seen her in years and was shocked to hear she had passed. Such a terrific young lady who was taken far too soon!

I went to school with Kristi...we had a Psychology class together our Sr. year. I most recently saw her at Kenny & Steph's a few years back. Kristi and her family had just came back from Disney and she shared the pics with me. She was always so sweet. Remember her smile to help get you through the days ahead.

On October 13th the world lost an awesome woman much too soon. Kristi was a wonderful mother, partner, and dear friend. I love you Kristi and you will be dearly missed by all who knew you. I am very saddened by the news of Kristi's passing. I had the pleasure of knowing Kristi and working with her since 1998- when she started her career with Enterprise Rent A Car. I am so sad to hear of Kristi's passing. I went to grade school with her from 1st through the 8th grade. We also played softball together all those years. I will remember her gentle nature and her sweetness to anyone she ever came across. Although we didn't stay in touch through the later years she would always pop in my mind and I would wonder how she was. She will be in my fondest memories from school. Having only met Kristi a few times did not diminish my opportunity to see what a blessing she was to her family and friends. Throughout her illness she remained a loving, caring and fun-loving warrior. Those she left behind will carry her strength and memory forever in their hearts.

I am so heartbroken, Kristi was trully one of the greatest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I thank God that I was blessed to have known Kristi and to have been a part of her wonderful loving family. I am also blessed to know that my children where lucky to have Kristi has their cousin.
