Larry Renaker

Larry D. Renaker, 76, of Panama City Beach, Fla., and formerly of Eufaula, Ala., and Granite City, Ill., born Aug. 30, 1939, in Salem, Ind., passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016, in Panama City, Fla.

Larry was a salesman from an early age in life, and was an aspiring businessman, entrepreneur, and inventor. In 1974, he was an owner and general manager of Trucker Supply Inc. in Granite City, Ill. On January 30, 1989, he began many years of dedicated service as the Vice-President of Sales with Gaither Tool Company Inc. He was a dedicated and faithful member of SouthPoint Church in Eufaula where he served on the financial board, and on the greeting committee. He was a member of the Eufaula Country Club, and the Hombre Country Club where he enjoyed his many days of golf. He loved sports and was an avid college basketball fan. He will be remembered for the love and special times he shared with his family, friends and co-workers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake D. Renaker, and Kathleen, nee Zink, Tomamichel; and a brother, Jay Doug Renaker.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Elizabeth M., nee Dycus, Renaker, whom he married on Nov. 14, 1980, in Edwardsville, Ill.; four daughters and spouses, Dawn (Nick Emanuel) Willis of Lakeland, Fla., Debbie (Sean) Farrell of Lynn Haven, Fla., Lisa (Chance) Suggs of Lynn Haven, Fla., and Miranda (Bryan) Enlow of Eufaula, Ala.; four step-children, Rebecca (David) Pitz of Springfield, Ill., R. David Muzzarelli of Granite City, Ill., Venus Ann-Nash of Eufaula, Ala., and Brett Nash of Marion, Ill.; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in- law, Joleen (Dennis) Kuchler of Indianapolis, Ind.; loving friend and business partner, Richard Brahler of Jacksonville, Ill.; and other extended family and many friends.

Memorials may be made to the family, and may be accepted at the funeral home.

Visitation: In celebration of his life, a memorial visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2016, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road, Granite City, Ill.

Service: A Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2016, at the chapel, with Reverend Dr. Andries VanSchalkwyk officiating.
