Lawrence Starms

Lawrence "Lorny" Starms, 63, of Madeira Beach Fla., formerly of Belleville, Ill., left this life Wednesday, November 25, 2015, riding a wheelie with the throttle wide open, after a brief but hard fought battle with cancer.

Lorny was a retired Union Painter with Local 58. He loved motorcycles, hotrods, fishing, and critters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William "Pappy" and Mary "Ma", nee Patient Starms; a brother, Billy Starms; and a twin brother and sister.

He leaves behind his wife, Cheri Starms, who worshiped the ground he walked on, his "Gater Girl"; his sisters, Nancy Oughton of Laguna Beach, Calif., Gertie (Tony) Wasser of Belleville, Ill, Carol Schlosser of Swansea, Ill., and Kathy Morrissey of Richmond, Ind.; special niece and nephews, Sarah Morrissey, Ryan Morrissey of Richmond, Ind., and Clinton Mark Marler of Collinsville, Ill.; a brother, Bennie Meyer of Belleville, Ill.; his children, Brad Starms of Belleville, Ill., Justin Walker of Wood River, Ill., Jenna (Kyle) Smalley of Shiloh, Ill., Alysha (Tim) Brown of Belleville, Ill.; his grandchildren, Kadi, Caleb, Heaven, Faith, and Tyler; and two very special ladies in his life, his great-niece, Gertie Morrissey, and his cherished granddaughter, Annabelle Brown. Lorny also leaves behing many nieces, cousins, and friends.

Memorial: A Celebration of Lorny's Life will be celebrated from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015, at Swansea Improvement Hall. Come enjoy a good time, and listen to some good music. Lorny always loved a good party.
