Linda Ponder Obituary
Linda J. Ponder, 66, of Bethalto, Ill., born May 22, 1948, in Granite City, Ill., died Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at Alton Memorial Hospital, Alton, Ill.
Linda worked at American Steel for 20 years until her retirement in 2010.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver John and Anna Della, nee Ray, Meyers; two brothers, Clifford Meyers and Eddie Meyers; and a sister, Diane Wallace.
Surviving are three children, Anthony Ponder of Bethalto, Ill., Tonya (John) Rathgeber of Fulton, Mo., and Devin (Belinda) Ponder of Swansea, Ill.; a brother, Woody (Janet) Meyers of Mt. Grove, Mo., J. (Anita's spouse) Lindsay of Granite City, Ill., and Dewayne Meyers of Granite City, Ill.; two grandchildren, Harley and Dustin Ponder; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2015, at Thomas Saksa Funeral Home, Granite City, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2015, at the funeral home.

I remember when I waz little and our family waz living by Tonya and her mom Linda 4 a long time and I would have 2 go over there sometimes they would have 2 watch me they always treated me good and always took care of me when i would have 2 go 2 there house iv always had a lot fun at there house Linda has always cared 4 our family iv always looked at them as family and I still look at Tonya and her family as our family....Linda has always tryed doing a lot 4 me and my sister and my brother..Linda will b always missed and in a lot of harts..
