Lorraine Aarns
Lorraine M. Aarns, nee Seiffert, 76, of Trenton, Ill., born April 24, 1930, in Marydale, Ill., died Saturday, May 6, 2006, in Highland, Ill.
Mrs. Aarns was a homemaker and retired from the Carlyle Shoe Factory. She was a member of St. Mary Church and Ladies Sodality in Trenton, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Aarns, whom she married Sept. 22, 1953, at St. Mary Church, Carlyle, Ill., and who died Jan. 9, 1997; her parents, Bernard and Frances, nee Lake, Seiffert; two brothers, Joe and Louis Seiffert; a sister, Theresa Kniepman; six brothers-in-law, Wilbert Haar, Joe Kniepman, Eugene Grapperhaus, John Liening, Robert Aarns and Tom Fields; and a sister-in-law, Regina Seiffert.
Surviving are her sons, Ron (Gail) Aarns of Creve Coeur, Mo., and James Aarns of Addieville, Ill.; her daughters, Mary Beth Aarns of Trenton, Ill., Jeanne Aarns of Trenton, Ill., and Lynn (Dan) Gebke of Germantown, Ill.; five grandchildren, Christian, Stephen and Amanda Aarns, Adam and Kristin Gebke; a brother, Albert (Rosemary) Seiffert of St. Peters, Mo.; three sisters, Sister M. Bertilla Seiffert of Clyde, Mo., Helen Grapperhaus of Carlyle, Ill., and Marie Fields of Breese, Ill.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Florence Seiffert of Carlyle, Ill., Betty Liening of Carlyle, Ill., Geraldine Haar of Breese, Ill., Judy (Bob) Heimann of Albers, Ill., Jackie (Carl) Aarns of Beckemeyer, Ill.; Margaret (Scott) Gooden of Mountain Home, Ark., Donna Aarns of Bourbonnais and Pat Kniepman of St. Louis, Mo.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Research or Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be received at the funeral home.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday, May 8, 2006, and from 8 to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at Moss Funeral Home, Trenton, Ill.

Funeral: Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Trenton, Ill., with the Rev. James Dougherty officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Trenton, Ill.
