O'Fallon, Illinois - Lucille Compton, nee Pinkston, 71, of O'Fallon, IL, born Sunday, October 11, 1953, in Saint Louis, MO, passed away Monday, March 24, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Lucille worked as a Communications Manager for Memorial Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lee Compton, Sr.; father of Doug and Mary, Doyle "Dude" Kuhn; parents, Milton M. and Bertha L., nee Carr, Pinkston; sisters, Linda Vargas, Carolyn Weber, Martha Rickas; brothers, Milton Pinkston, Stevie Pinkston and Stanley Pinkston; and bonus son, Blake Schneider.
Surviving are her children, Douglas (Tana) Kuhn Sr. of Jefferson City, TN, Mary (Master Sgt. Ret. Ben) Damann of Mascoutah, IL, Laine (Master Sgt. Ret. David) Horstdaniel of Troy, IL, Patrick (Brittany) Bisso of Jacksonville, FL; her life partner, Donald Schneider of O'Fallon; brothers, Ricky (Jean) Pinkston of Hoyleton, IL, and Mike Pinkston of Lees, AL; sisters, Barbara Manjarrez of Laverne, CA, and Rita (Jim) Fleshren of O'Fallon, IL; grandchildren, Douglas (Ashley) Kuhn, Jr., Nathan (Kimmie) Quellmalz, Colleen Kuhn, Cole Kuhn, Austin (Autumn) Damann, Dr. Taylor Jane Damann, Kelly Damann, Bailey Damann, Mackenzie Damann, Wesley Briggs, Andrew Horstdaniel, Lucy Kuhn, Eli Horstdaniel, Kane Kuhn, Hayleigh Turner, Brianna Turner; 12 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Jesse Vargas, and father of Laine and Patrick, Patrick Bisso Sr. of Jacksonville, FL; bonus children, Kevin (Cindy) Schneider, Sean (Kristen) Schneider and Julie Schneider; bonus grandchildren, Colin, Harper and Hadley. Numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Visitation from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL.
Services: Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 31, 2025 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL with Chaplain Austin Fairchild officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
