Margaret Wuebbles

Margaret "Marge" Wuebbles, 85, of Granite City, Ill., born on June 14, 1924, in St. Louis, Mo., passed from this life on Thursday, March 4, 2010, in Columbia, Ill.

Mrs. Wuebbles was a life long homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church in Granite City, Ill. In her early years she worked for Tri-City Grocery Store and Schermer's Brothers Market.

Marge was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond B. Wuebbles, whom she married on July 3, 1965; and who died on Dec. 25, 1999; parents, Robert and Margaret, nee Schilling, Schultz; and a brother, Robert Schultz Jr.

Surviving are her daughter, Jeanette Wegrzyn of Columbia, Ill.; two grandchildren, Margaret (John) Walk of St. Louis, Mo., and Brian (Beth Black) Ballard of Lake Forest, Calif.; four great-grandchildren, Nathan, Jennifer and Ryan Walk and Kristle Ballard. Also surviving are the many, many members of the Wegrzyn family. two life long friends, Bernice, nee Boelling, Timko and Diane, nee Craycraft, Andrews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Grace Baptist Church Building Fund.



Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 8, 2010, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City, Ill., and from 9 to 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at Grace Baptist Church, 2600 Edwards St. in Granite City, Ill.

Funeral: A celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2010, at the church with the Rev. John Gamblin officiating. Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, Ill.
