Fairview Heights, Illinois - Michael J. Gorsich, age 69, of Fairview Heights, IL born on December 9, 1951 in St. Louis, MO, died on Saturday February 27, 2021 at Kindred Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
Michael worked as a circulation manager in the newspaper industry and later worked as an insurance agent when he moved back to Illinois. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Erin, whom he adored. Michael enriched the lives of all of us who knew and loved him. He helped all who needed that help, not least by being a Mason, Shriner, and member of the KC. He led many tours for the Shriner's Hospital and often talked at length with the doctors there about their work. His presence
and love will be missed terribly by us all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond A. and Florence M., nee Fuhler, Gorsich; and his brothers, Kenneth Gorsich, John Gorsich, and Mark Gorsich.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon, nee McConkey, Gorsich; his daughter, Erin Gorsich (Nick Greenfield), of Kenilworth, England; his step-son Jeff Holt (fiancé, Marlene Wu), of St. Louis, MO; his grandson, Silas Michael Greenfield; his granddaughter, Laneya Wu Holt; his siblings, Gary Gorsich of Beaumont, TX, Joseph Gorsich of Granite City, IL, David Gorsich of Granite City, IL, Raymond Gorsich, Jr., of Fenton, MO, Mary Gorsich of Belleville, IL, Ellen (Bill) Maintz of Lake St. Louis, MO, and Kathy (Wes) Bell of Cahokia, IL. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, July 24, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. with a Masonic Service at 6:30 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd. Fairview Heights, IL.
