O'Fallon, Illinois - Nancy L. Baldus, nee Meyer, 87, of Belleville, Illinois, born Saturday, January 29, 1938, in Belleville, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Colonnade Senior Living in O Fallon, Illinois.

Nancy spent many years working at Lerner's clothing shop in downtown Belleville, where her friendly nature and impeccable sense of style made her a favorite among customers and coworkers alike. She was a proud member of the Friday Night Friends Group and an avid bridge player, always up for good conversation and a bit of friendly competition.

Nancy and Donald loved to travel, especially to the Lake of the Ozarks and Florida, where they enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She had a true gift for entertaining and made everyone feel welcome in her home. No matter where she went, Nancy always seemed to run into someone she knew - a testament to the lasting connections she built throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald E. Baldus; parents, Milton and Dorothy Meyer; and sister, Joan (Charlie) Wiegreffe.

Surviving are her children, Leslie A. (John) Wallace of St. Louis, MO, Douglas E. Baldus of Swansea, IL, John E. (Phoebe) Baldus of Chesterfield, MO; grandchildren, Leah (Andrew) Dugan, Erika (Seyit) Salman, Nikki (Curtis) Harms, Nathan Baldus; great-grandchildren, Braden Dugan, Brin Goff, Kayla Stolte, Dylan Stolte, Archer Harms; niece, Barbara (Darryl) Gerstenecker; and cousin Jane Meredith.

Visitation: Visitation from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, October 20, 2025 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Illinois, and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Kurrus Funeral Home.

Services: A Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Pastor Sharon Autenrieth officiating. Interment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois.
