Phillip Schack Obituary
Phillip A. Schack Sr., 65, of Belleville, Ill., born Dec. 2, 1947, in Champaign, Ill., died Monday, Aug. 5, 2013, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Ill.
Mr. Schack was a retired automobile salesman. He was a member of the Shiloh Eagles Aerie 545, Shiloh, Ill.
Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, August Schack and Ethel, nee Barrow, Miller; his stepfather, Thomas Miller; a sister, Saundra Canterbury; and his father-in-law, Wilferd A. Stolberg Jr., who also died on Aug. 5, 2013.
Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Barbara A., nee Stolberg, Schack, whom he married on Dec. 9, 1978; a daughter and two sons, Amy (Brian) Marchand of Belleville, Ill., Phillip A. Schack Jr., of Smithton, Ill., and Steven (Michele) Touchette of Belleville, Ill.; three grandchildren, Phillip Schack III, MacKenzie Marchand, and Ashlynne Touchette; his brother, Gary (Jennifer) Miller of Belleville, Ill.; a brother-in-law, Ray Canterbury; numerous nieces and nephews; and countless friends, including three very special lifelong friends, Rich Skidis, Mike Happel, and Gary Render.
Memorials may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill., with the Rev. Cari Frus officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, IL.

I met Phil about twelve years ago. He was a man that you would want as a friend.....always a smile and a joke. That is the way I will remember him. He was the president of our neighborhood association and made sure our needs always got taken care of....he took a lot of heat at times....but always a smile. Phil will be missed by all in our subdivision.

Everything still works even the clock.
