Phillip Myrle Thurston

November 14, 1945 - September 18, 2024

East Carondelet, Illinois - Phillip Myrle Thurston, age 78 of East Carondelet, IL, passed away at Memorial Hospital-Belleville on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. Phillip was born in East St. Louis, IL, to the late Myrle E. and Mary I. Thurston.

He is survived by his Daughter, Kathy Totten of Dupo, IL; Sons, Anthony (Camille) Thurston of West River, MD, Michael (Vicki) Jerashen of Smithton, IL, Robert (Kristen) Jerashen of East Carondelet, IL, and Gregory Jerashen of Belleville, IL; Brothers, Robert (Donna) Thurston of Okawville, IL and William (Susan) Thurston of Coulterville, IL; 13 Grandchildren; 6 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren. He is also survived by a large family of nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as his beloved puppies, Zoe and Deuce.

He was preceded in death by his Wife, Janyce Thurston; Parents, Myrle E. and Mary I. Thurston; Sister, Francis E. Martinez; and Great-Granddaughter Alexuas Acord.

Phillip was employed as a railroad worker for over 30 years and was retired from Southern Pacific Lines.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
