Roberta Gause
Roberta H. Gause, nee Hawkins, 86, of Shiloh, Ill., born Sept. 5, 1921, in Swan Lake, Miss., died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, Ill.
Mrs. Gause was a home caregiver. She was a member of New Life in Christ Church, Women of Virtue at the church and Heroines of Jericho in Mississippi.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Charlie Gause, James Melvin Gause and John David Gause; parents, Jerry and Annie Lee, nee Collins, Hawkins; brothers, Robert Hawkins and Sherman Hawkins; and step-sister, Norma Farrow.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. B. J. Gause Sr. of Shiloh, Ill.; children, Marilyn G. (James) Collins of Shiloh, Ill., B. J. (Lynette) Gause Jr. of Chicago, Ill., Doris Gause-Arnold, of Louisville, Ky., Annie Lee (Rubin) Hoskins of Shreveport., La., Velma (Kwane) Gause-Price of Hampton, Va., Emma (Le Dell) Gause-Simpson of Alexandra, Va., Katherine Gause-Hill of Atlanta, Ga., and Savannah Gause-Curry of St. Louis, Mo.; sister, Noreen Hawkins of Detroit, Mich.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a beloved mother and faithful servant of the Lord.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008, at The Benevolent Aid and Burying Society in Webb, Miss.
