Roger Pense

Roger E. Pense, age 44, of Troy, Illinois, born on February 12, 1973 in Belleville, IL, died on October 29, 2017 at his residence.

Roger worked as a diesel electrician for Manufacturers Railway, St. Louis, Missouri and later for the Alton and Southern Railroad, E. St. Louis, Illinois. Roger loved St. Louis Blues Hockey and drag racing.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Pense, nee Gillespie; his children, Amanda Morales, Collin Pense, Nolan Pense, and Ellie Pense of Troy, Illinois; his parents, John and Linda, nee Hanratty, Pense of Collinsville, Illinois; paternal grandmother, Norma Hanratty of Troy, Illinois; brother, Jason (Beth) Pense of Belleville; sister, Jaime (Kevin) Van Leer of Wright City, Missouri; also surviving are aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Roger and Ann Pense children's college fund at FCB Bank, Collinsville, IL. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.kasslyfuneral.com.

Visitation: Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

Services: Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2017, at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL, with Pastor Gary Stefaniak officiating. Interment at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, IL.

He left everyone way too soon, I think of Roger often. Roger was always sweet to me, loved having him ride on my school bus. Praying his family are all well. I know it has to be so hard without him. Bless his family who are missing him. ❤
